How long does a new roof take?
Most full re-roofs on a standard semi-detached take 3–5 working days, weather permitting. Larger detached houses can take a week or more. We give you a realistic timeline before we start.
Are you fully insured?
Yes — Asset Roofing Limited carries full public liability insurance and we'll happily provide proof on request. All work is guaranteed and we never ask for money up front.
Do you offer emergency call-outs?
Yes. After storms or sudden leaks we get out as fast as we can to make the roof watertight. Call or WhatsApp 07707 622259 — day or night.
How much does a new roof cost in Wigan?
It depends on the size, the pitch, the tile or slate you choose, and the access. As a rough guide: a small terraced re-roof starts from around £4,500, a standard semi from around £6,500. We always give a fixed written quote — no hidden costs.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes — all our workmanship is guaranteed. Most tile and slate manufacturers also provide their own product guarantees, which we'll pass on to you in writing.
What areas do you cover?
We cover Wigan, Hindley, Leigh, Atherton, Tyldesley, Bolton, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Standish, Westhoughton, Horwich, St Helens and Chorley. If you're not sure if we cover your area, just give us a call.
Do I need planning permission for a new roof?
For a like-for-like re-roof — same tiles, same shape — usually not. If you're changing the roof line, adding dormers, or your property is listed or in a conservation area, you may need permission. We can advise on what your specific job needs.
Can you fix just one tile, or do I need a full roof?
Absolutely — small repairs are no problem. A single slipped or broken tile, a section of failed pointing, a chimney leak — we'll come and fix what needs fixing. We never sell you more than the roof actually needs.
